Get inspired with herbs!

“Make friends with herbs. They will transform your salad from mediocre to magical.” ~ Hetty McKinnon

We couldn’t agree more. If every vegetable on the plate has a personality, fresh herbs are the life of the party. They make everything better.

Sprinkle them over your curries, muddle them in a mocktail, or blitz them into pesto. Suddenly your dinner’s got personality.

Be inspired, and grab your herbs (plastic free!) here!

CORIANDER

Bright, zesty, and endlessly versatile. Incredibly, it's the most popular garnish for the widest range of cuisines - Mexican, Asian, Indian, or Middle Eastern.

Chopped up fresh, it partners perfectly with with tacos, burritos, curries, stir-fries, rice paper rolls, or falafel.

Or try these simple ideas:

Lime & Coriander Dressing

Blend coriander, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, a little honey and a pinch of salt for a bright, fresh drizzle over tacos, grain bowls, or BBQ meats.

Asian-Style Slaw

Finely shred cabbage or wombok, toss with coriander, mint, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and roasted peanuts. Fresh, crunchy, addictive.

PARSLEY

The quiet achiever. Mix it with garlic and olive oil (or butter) and it becomes pure magic on mushrooms (my personal favourite), meat, or crusty bread.

Chimichurri Sauce

It keeps for months in the fridge and makes last-minute dinners taste fancy:

  1. 1 bunch of parsley, 3 cloves of garlic, 3 tbsp white wine vinegar, 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/2 tsp salt

  2. Whiz it up in a blender, taste and adjust seasonings if required

  3. Use it to marinade meat, or pour over cooked meat / vegetable dishes

MINT

Cool, refreshing, and a little bit fancy.

Crush it into a mojito, sprinkle over salads, or pair with coriander for an Asian-inspired twist.

For a fresh, crunchy Asian style salad:

  • choose your salad veggies - tomato, cucumber, capsicum, carrot, avocado, lettuce, wombok, snow peas

  • add some finely chopped mint + coriander

  • add a drizzle of sesame oil, fish sauce, soy, lime juice

  • top with roasted cashews

DILL

Fresh and tangy, it’s the underdog hero of herbs with a cult following.

Finely chop into salads, mix with yoghurt and salmon, or toss through cucumber with capers and lemon.

BASIL

Sweet and aromatic, it's the smell of summer.

Perfect for pesto, bruschetta, or as a garnish on pizza, pasta, or salad.

Try it on avo toast or in a tomato-cheese toastie.

ROSEMARY

Woody and fragrant, my favourite way to use Rosemary is in a cocktail or mocktail!

Of course, it pairs beautifully with roast lamb and veggies, or pop it in your next batch of spag bol for an interesting flavour.
